GIA India Laboratory Private Limited accepts submissions of polished D-to-Z colored diamonds, laboratory-grown diamonds, pearls as well as rough diamonds, while coloured stone, require global submission requirements and should be sent directly to another GIA laboratory or intake location worldwide. Loose and un-mounted polished diamonds should be submitted to the Mumbai and Surat lab, with each stone placed in a separate parcel paper or suitable container and accompanied by shape and weight information. While internal identification or reference numbers are acceptable, parcel papers should not contain client identification or grading information. A packing slip or memo should list all necessary information, including the total value in dollars and company letterhead, if applicable.
