Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation (GJNRF)

GJNRF was set up in 1999 by the gem & jewelry industry to carry out charitable and philanthropic activities. GJNRF has been in the forefront of aiding victims of calamity, war, terror, in every possible way, thereby, serving the society and making a huge difference in their lives with new commitments and promises.

  • 1)GIA India Laboratory Private Limited contributed to Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) for Swasthya Kosh Fund (SKF) to promote healthcare including preventive healthcare through insurance plans for contracted workers of the industry as a part of its CSR contribution for the year ended March 31, 2025. GJEPC has created a fund base with GJNRF for this activity.
  • 2)GIA India Laboratory Private Limited also contributed for the Project Eradicating hunger and poverty by distributing grain kits to contracted workers of the industry due to loss/scarcity of jobs as a part of its CSR contribution for the year ended March 31, 2025.

GIA India Laboratory Private Limited received the fund utilization status from GJNRF for both the projects stated above, wherein all the funds were utilized as per the approval provided.

GJSCI is the nodal entity for skill development of the Indian gems and jewelry industry. It was formed in 2012 under the aegis of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and currently functions under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). VSSM was founded in 2010 with a vision to work towards the inclusion of nomadic, de-notified and other most marginalized communities in mainstream society, anchored towards socio-economic and ecological stability and enable the people to live a dignified life. They work with community-specific objectives from awareness to advocating for their rights. VSSM also started working on environmental objectives of making people aware about the fast-depleting water table and get them involved into the participatory water management program more focused on the North Gujarat region which is classified as a dark zone.

Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS) has been committed to “Empowerment of Women through Education.” The Institution works relentlessly towards educating women and thereby making them self-reliant. The Samstha was established in 1896 by the great visionary and social worker Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve to provide shelter to destitute women. Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha, Pune, has branches all over Maharashtra in India and more than 35,000 girl students are learning in these institutions. MKSSS strives hard to develop women into truly performing citizens in today’s globalization era.

MKSSS had many ongoing projects during the year, of which GIA India Laboratory Private Limited contributed towards Solar Power Project in Narhe, Pune Campus, as a part of its CSR contribution for the year ended on March 31, 2025.

The USF programme has 5 key objectives.

  • 1)To provide financial support to deserving but needy girl students from government and government aided schools to enable them to continue their education;
  • 2)To provide individual attention, counselling and grooming through personalized mentoring to assure their overall mental, moral and over-all development;
  • 3)Through life Skill trainings & personality development workshops build their capacities, enhance new set skills & provide opportunities to widen their horizon of knowledge on social issues;
  • 4)To develop ‘employability skills’ with components of trainings on career options, develop job-oriented skills and better understanding of employment world;
  • 5)To develop social sensitivity and a sense of responsibility, so that they give back once they become independent and start earning.

GIA India Laboratory Private Limited had contributed towards sustaining two chapters in Surat, Gujarat, for 50/40 girl students and one chapter in Mumbai, Maharashtra, for 40 girl students, for providing education for six years.

Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute, a project of the Sri Chaitanya Seva Trust, commenced its activities in the year 1998 and is focused on providing free/affordable health care without compromise on quality. The Institute offers education from Kindergarten, Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary schools to Colleges. At present, the Institute also offers higher education in Engineering, Architecture, Management, Nursing, Fashion Technology, Vocational Training Institute, Laser Technology & Applications, Jewellery Design and more. UDAYAN SHALINI FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

UDAYAN SHALINI FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

Udayan Shalini Fellowship derives its name from conjoining two Sanskrit words “Udayan” and “Shalini” meaning eternal sunrise. Beginning in 2002, with just 72 girls, the program has expanded and has 32 chapters spread across 13 states to ensure that no girl with the drive to learn is denied her dream, due to lack of support. The program has so far inducted over 12,737 girls out of which 4500+ girls are already graduates in different disciplines, and vocations, and hold prestigious jobs, in corporates, schools, colleges, and in NGOs. The rest of the girls, whom they Shalinis (Dignified Women), are pursuing fields like Engineering, Medical, Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretary, Vocational, Nursing, and Computer Science, among others.

Beginning in 2002, with just 72 girls, the program has expanded and has 32 chapters spread across 13 states to ensure that no girl with the drive to learn is denied her dream, due to lack of support. The program has so far inducted over 12,737 girls out of which 4500+ girls are already graduates in different disciplines, and vocations, and hold prestigious jobs, in corporates, schools, colleges, and in NGOs. The rest of the girls, whom they Shalinis (Dignified Women), are pursuing fields like Engineering, Medical, Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretary, Vocational, Nursing, and Computer Science, among others.
USF program has five key objectives: to provide financial support to deserving but needy girl students from government and government-aided schools to enable them to continue their education; to provide individual attention, counseling, and grooming through personalized mentoring to ensure their overall mental, moral, development; to build and provide opportunities to widen their horizon of knowledge on social issues through life skills training and personality development workshops; to develop ‘employability skills’ with components of training on career options, job-oriented skills, and better understanding of the employment world; and to develop social sensitivity and a sense of responsibility, so that they give back once they become independent and start earning. GIA India Laboratory Private Limited received the fund utilization status from USF wherein all the funds were utilized as per the approval provided.

Palanpur Shishushala, Balmandir and Education Trust was established in 1948 with the intent to provide quality education to the people of Palanpur. From its humble beginnings as a primary school, it has grown to over 120 institutes across 14 campuses, with 450 teachers serving approximately 5,000 students. The trust, was renamed Vidyamandir Trust, Palanpur in 2006 and has English and Gujarati Medium Schools from Kindergarten to Higher Secondary. The trust is striving to mould its students to complete individuals. The trust runs scholarship program for promising students from economically weak backgrounds without any distinction of class, caste or religion. GIA India Laboratory Private Limited contributed to the construction of the sustainable building “Sahyog”. This initiative will provide education to differently-abled students and offer scholarship programs to promising students from economically weak backgrounds, without any distinction of class, caste, or religion as a part of its CSR contribution for the year ended on 31 March, 2024.
