GIA Student Workroom gives you affordable access to all the equipments and gemstones you need to complete the practical requirements of your Distance Education Gem Identification course. This self-study room is available to students who may need to access equipments and gemstones to enhance their identification skills. And if you have a specific question, a GIA instructor is always on hand - to help. You can also arrange to take a supervised exam at a Student Workroom. All GIA ex-students can also use the workroom to refresh their grading and identification skills after successfully completing their courses.

Now the GIA workroom is also available to those who have attended the Skill Building Seminars at any of the GIA locations, but require more time and more stones to master the skill of grading diamonds for cut in addition to clarity, color and proportions.

The workroom located at GIA India campus(Mumbai); is available only by prior appointment and on a chargeable basis.
